Will Ross CD Update

here is an update on the cd cover I created for local Musician Will Ross. I was given a copy of the CD and it turned out looking AWESOME! 

He soon after left on tour and got me to create his tour poster. Created so dates and locations can be written or printed on.

Random Sketches: Episode #5

Top: That Ink drawing came to me after watching a documentary on Frogs and tadpoles. Not exactly what a tadpole looks like but I already know what a tadpole looks like so I drew this.

Bottom: Not necessarily a sketch but was created in a similar way. It started as a green plaint spill that turned into the x files.

TOADHOUSE logo

This Vector Logo was designed for a local band. TOADHOUSE play great music and I think is considered a Jam Band. There feel good music and instrumentals blow my mind. I had a great time designing this from the sketches to the final Vector Logo

Reggae Poster

This poster for Anja productions had a reggae band headlining so I kept to the right color scheme, cookie cut a lion and you have a reggae poster. (wasn't as easy as described)

Top: this is a ink drawing I had done about a year ago with no real plan in mind. I just like reptiles and amphibians so I went ahead and invented my own

Bottom: Also like top image I am fascinated with bugs and things so I created My own Mantis like bug.

Top: The Monkeys theres not much to say about this one except I wanted to draw but all that came to mind was monkeys so to get it out I drew a whole bunch.

Bottom: Skull Squid was just a one shot ink drawing and I think some of the black spots are mistakes

Poster Artwork

Here are a couple more Posters I have created for Ajna production company.

I had a lot of fun with these especially with the dino monocle. I was inspired by a poster from the 70s it was a Grateful Dead poster. The poster i had found had a gnome and all the information on its T-shirt. so i created a similar image but a dinosaur with a monocle and this what you get.

Band poster- Boston Pizza

The band is playing a show at the Boston Pizza around the corner and they got me to make the poster.

I kept it simple and and made it look summery and it turned out okay. 

The rep. at Boston Pizza was really impressed.

Business card

All this time I did not even have a business card. It turned out almost exactly how I envisioned it.

Cub Poster - Bass Reflex

Another instalment for the Bass Reflex shows. I really really like how this one turned out.

really simple design: texture fill for half and info on the other.

Cd cover for indi. musician

This was a really fun job to do. A friend of mine is releasing an album or mix tape he came up with the whole concept and I just made it happen. 

Club Poster

Another instalment to the Bass Reflex shows. This one is a bit jumbled up but is effective and kinda matches the music played at the show. It was the "summer surge" event so I use and solar flare and some bubbles and there u have summer.

Club posters

Freelancing for Ajna productions to provide them with club posters for shows that occur at different venues every other week. Coming up with a different design has been a challenge but I feel I am doing alright. there will be more as the moths go on.

Concert poster

another poster for psychedelicatessin. I wanted to use the same image in the middle as the last ones but I also wanted it to look really different. I came up with this.

Tattoo flash updates

In my one of my past post I have the out line to this owl. Look at it now! just needs a background

so I came up with this>

Just needs some colour and I can combine the two to create a masterpiece.

Again in a previous post u can see just the outline of this, and now its pretty much done might need more in the background, not sure. 

Drew this bad boy awhile ago just now getting it posted. after inking it i knew it needed more,

I will now combine the two and colour them to create a nice rose and gun tattoo, maybe ill throw some banners in somewhere...... well hope you all enjoy!

Event Posters

Now that I had the logo and image I made them some posters for shows they had. used a lot patterns I don't really know how well they turned out, might be too much. Well don't know what else to say other then it was all created in illustrator.

psychedelic band poster

This is a band logo I made for a cover band of the psychedelic era.

They play a lot Zeppelin, the Doors, Pink Floyd, and many others.
I went for a lava lamp look.

I then went for some sort of branding image for the band.

I will be painting it on there band drum set to be seen at the show.
